From skateboarding to street fashion TheBakersman influence is seen everywhere.
Sechaba is the founder of the notorious skate crew SSS (Soweto Skate Society) which started as a skate crew to grow skateboarding in the Soweto township. SSS is also an NGO aimed at teaching youngsters life skills through skating. Soweto Skate Society has grown from just a skate crew to an influential street culture crew, impacting fashion, events and even starting the first Soweto based punk rock band TCIYF.
Sechaba is the biggest contributor to the growth of skateboarding in townships all across South Africa.His partnership with Redbull and Vans helps him host skate competitions in different townships giving new kids an opportunities to enter their first skate competition and introducing skateboarding to new kids.
SSS has also made a name for its self as a street culture brand to lookout for with big name like Riky Rick, Okmalumekoolkat, Unclepartytime rocking it at different events. The brand has collaborated with shops like Dip Street and international brands like Dickies.
Sechaba pushed innovation by collaborating with local skateboarding manufacturing company and produced the first ever Soweto branded skateboards. Placing Soweto Skate Society as the biggest and most influential skate crew in South Africa.
Sitting at just under 2000 followers on Instagram but know by everyone in South Africa's Street Culture circle, it's safe to say @iamthebakersman is an influencers influencer.
