A South African Musical Wonder Has Emerged.

South Africa has given birth to its long awaited singing gemstone, born in the Eastern and well natured in the Western Cape.A Xhosa woman who bears an old soul that is engraved with all the rare elements that gave our nation its very first Golden Era of music. Her name is Anelisa ’Khonaye’ Blom. She was born in Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape and when she was just 4 years old, she moved to Cape Town with her brother where she received all
her education.Looking back at her schooling years, she says everything she did involved
music.
Khonaye's sensational voice possesses a vocal prowess that allows her to effortlessly transition from, an endearing husky tone that gets accompanied by her unexpected
baritone, a sweet baritone that you get as she resolves a belted out note, all the way to a surreal, angelic and beautiful falsetto whenever her songs call for it.
"I sang my way out and into everything. I sang during tests, meetings, netball and soccer games. Throughout those years,my teachers at the Holy Cross Convent High School even stopped punishing me for my random and abrupt singing moments because they knew how much I loved to sing. My lecturers at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology where I did my National Diploma in Human Resources Management, were fully aware of the fact that I would probably sing all the way through to my graduation" - Khonaye
Her music has an invisible thread that perfectly stitches each melody with warmly sung harmonies. The stories embedded in her songs draw inspiration from all corners of Africa and that was the very reason why she was signed to the Nomadic Tribe label, founded by Ntsika Fana Ngxanga from the internationally acclaimed, South African acapella group, “The Soil”.

Khonaye treated her fast growing fan base and music lovers at large to the 13 track
album( Garden of songs). The album features one of SA’s finest lyricist, the incredible
and the multi award winning Zuluboy, it will also feature, The Soil’s lead composer
Fana Mayiza and lastly, her super talented stable mates, Soulphiatown. GARDEN OF SONGS is an album that re-introduced Mzansi to the Golden Era of Music that it once enjoyed in the 1950’s.
