Hulisani Masakona stage named Lutroo Da-Music (born May 10, 1993) is a pop, R&B and hip-hop South African singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. Born in Thohoyandou, Limpopo, he was involved in his church choir and several school talent shows from a young age. Having learned how to make his own instrumentals and record his own music, in 2009 he started to make his own records.
During his uprising, Lutroo got an opportunity in 2015 to be one of the few selected to perform at the Colbert Mukwevho 50th Birthday celebration. With his soothing smooth voice, Lutroo in 2016 released his breakthrough single called Invisible where he featured Una Rams and Mizo Phyll which became one of Venda's most popular songs. Within the same period, he became part of the top 10 Tshwane music conference winners who where prized with a 3 years record deal with Uhuru music among 300 competitors.
For obvious reasons, his fans believe without a doubt that he has a brighter future yet ahead of him. In some of the reviews on his Facebook page, Nkhuliseni Masakona stated, "He is the music, born to do this music thing". Tremaine Nkwana: "trust me his going places with his talent". With the love he's receiving from the public, Lutroo is currently dedicating his time and energy into creating more music and the love continues to grow as he has released three hits in 2020 so far. He just recently released another hit called Ene featuring Wukid.
He started the year with a beautiful song called Tshifasekano which made fans to fall back inlove with him after a long 3 years break from the studio. A hit song called Kha vha de featuring Khathu where Lutroo was behind the production dubuted on Vhembe FM in February (2020) and left the fans longing for more. After these two, Lutroo has become one of the most played artists on Phalaphala FM.
