Rhema Stephanie Namakau Socika aka NamakuaSta is a multi talented rapper, singer, songwriter, model and copywriter.
Rhema Stephanie Namakau Socika, (Born 11th August 1995) better known as iindirhe and
now more recently NamakauStar is a South African born singer-songwriter and rapper.
NamakauStar is an alternative RnB and Hip-Hop act, with a strong pen and unique vocal
approach to music which has given her music much traction as an independent artist in her city.Her distinct sound which sets her apart from her musical peers is often described as a magical experience. Her sound is open to interpretation but her fans call her the vibe goddess.
The multi-talented creative has several notable achievements in her career.In 2017 NamakauStar made her first national television appearance on SABC 1’s Brothers and Sisters with soul. A documentary series which covers the lives of upcoming artists in South Africa. Shortly after she was chosen as a top 10 finalist of the artist boot camp, she was the only female rapper to make the cut.
In 2018 NamakauStar self-released her debut compilation titled “The Gltter EP” a six-track
compilation which she co-produced. The Gltter EP’ which has currently accumulated close to 300000 streams on her streaming platforms. She then expanded the Gltter project by releasing the deluxe version of her debut project with 4 extra tracks and a documentary of the making of the project. NamakauStar has been a part of many local events and festivals such as We Are One Music Festival, Back To The City Music Festival, and Woke Arts.
She was a KFC soundbite top 5 finalist for her song titled “Body” where she collaborated with international producer Tspize beats and talented producer Lae. The song would then land her a feature on Channel-O as a newcomer to look out for. She then worked with Back To The City Festival and the SA Hip hop Awards to feature on their Six a Side Mixtape with the likes of Reason and Kwesta.
In 2019 NamakauStar collaborated with Iconic Gay Rapper and Activist Gyre in the making of the Song and Short Film Quarantine a safe space and panel discussion were held as part of the film screening. She also co-wrote and produced a short film for Afro-Punk exhibiting her creativity outside of her known conventions and more recently featured as a guest on Red Bull Musics well-known platform Swift 16 NamakauStar continues to be noted as an upcoming musical force by those who believe in her music as she grows and expands as an artist, a performer, and an overall influential brand.
